The Founders
From different ends of the globe, Katy Taouk and Jenni Robinson both landed in Beirut in 1996.
Katy, of Lebanese origin, born and raised in Sydney, Australia was determined to come to her parents' homeland and see it for herself. After studying Beauty Therapy, Swedish Massage, Electrolysis, Aromatherapy and Thalassotherapy she gained experience and ran a beauty salon in Sydney before making her decision to relocate to Lebanon. Once on Lebanese territory, Katy ran a beauty section in one of the exclusive hairdressing salons that Lebanon is famous for. After rapidly building a vast clientele, she contemplated opening her own salon.

Jenni, of British nationality, the eternal wanderer, longed to escape the humdrum monotony of European life. After working in management for many years in different countries she was offered a contract with a British company to help set up their office in Lebanon. An indulgent shopper and always conscious of taking care of herself, she hunted high and low for a good manicure. Shocked at the incredibly low standards of manicure and waxing, she was eternally grateful that a good friend recommended she visit Katy for her beauty needs. But by the time her contract was fulfilled, Lebanon had its grip on her and she was not ready to move on.

The rest is history. The two were both ready for a change of direction and decided on a concept that was well established in the U.S, growing rapidly in Sydney and London and did not yet exist in Lebanon, the nail bar. They put their heads together, researched hard, completed courses, hunted for locations and created The Nail Bar.

The Aim
To enhance natural beauty, provide excellent service and use only the best products.
Katy and Jenni decided from the outset of their project that they must always have a strong commitment to providing quality products and excellent service, both of which were hard to find in Lebanon at that time. They imported the best products on the international market and only accepted staff with a friendly disposition and natural ability. To ensure that their staff would be the best in their field, they brought into the equation an educator and Ambassador for the leading U.S. nail care brand Creative Nail Design. The combination proved to be a success.

The Future
After expanding their present salon to attempt to cope with their growing clientele, the two entrepreneurs are working on their next project…..So watch this space!!!!!!!!!
